Maurice Lacey is the current executive director of Faith Mission Crisis Center, an agency that provides crisis services to 1500 chemically dependent persons annually.
He is president / ceo of 1 alpha consulting & development corp., serves as board member for the Greater Ridgewood Youth council, and teaches advanced counseling skills for professional counselors, nurses, teachers, and social workers.
Mr. Lacey has been on the front line of addiction, mental health, and adolescent services for over 15 years. He is a gifted and highly regarded clinician, educator, and administrator. As a professional helper, he has touched the lives of thousands of persons in various states of despair.
In his work with clients he considers himself a motivator and teacher that utilizes his clinical skills to support and encourage spiritual wellness/wholeness. He is a strong advocate for self-empowerment and personal responsibility.
He is also involved with several committees dealing with policies on homelessness, substance abuse, mental illness, youth services, criminal justice, and HIV/AIDS.
Of all the roles and positions that he maintains, he holds that his most important role and position is to be a supportive father to his four children Tamiquia, Maurice jr., Tesha, and Michael.
